Reverse description An armored equestrian figure, identified as Rodolfo Gonzaga, depicted in left profile astride a prancing horse, holding an upright banner or standard in his right hand. The horse is rendered in dynamic motion with all four legs visible, occupying the majority of the central field. A Latin abbreviated legend surrounding the design identifies the issuing lord and his titles. The composition follows the traditional Italian feudal equestrian type common to Gonzaga coinage of the period.
