Obverse description A winged allegorical figure of Victory seated on a pedestal, her arms outstretched holding laurel wreaths over two seated female figures representing Art (holding a palette, at left) and Industry (holding a staff, at right). The arms of Dublin appear on the pedestal below. The engraver's signature I. WOODHOUSE A.R.H.A. appears in the lower field, with DUBLIN 1872 in the exergue. The circular legend reads EXHIBITION OF ARTS, INDUSTRIES AND MANUFACTURES around the upper field.

Reverse description A broad decorative wreath composed of roses, thistles, shamrocks and oak leaves surmounted by a royal crown fills the border. Within the polished central field, the recipient's name Lady Molyneux's Schools is engraved in an elaborate script. A ribbon at the base bears the motto TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO.
