Obverse description Two effigies of Queen Victoria facing each other in circular medallions — the young, laureate portrait at left and the mature, veiled and crowned portrait at right — flanked by a crossed sceptre and trident. Below, a seated Britannia in helmet with arms outstretched is attended by two winged putti, a recumbent lion in the exergue, and laurel branches framing the lower field. The maker's name RESTALL BIRM appears at the base.
