Reverse description Britannia helmeted and seated facing right on a plinth adorned with a cannon and cannonballs, holding a trident upright in her right hand. The word BALTIC arcs around the upper periphery; in the exergue the dates 1854-1855 appear in relief. Coastal seascapes flank the figure, depicting the forts of Bomarsund to the left and Sveaborg to the right, with the engraver's signature L.C. WYON visible at the base.
