Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the Province of Quebec — two fleurs-de-lis in the upper portion and a passant lion in the middle, with a sprig of maple leaves below — surmounted by a royal crown and flanked by maple leaf branches tied at the base. The engraver's name A. GERBIER appears in the lower exergue. A beaded border frames the design.
