Obverse description An allegorical seated female figure, representing Agriculture or Hibernia, is enthroned at centre, extending her right arm toward a kneeling male figure on her left who holds agricultural implements, while a kneeling female figure to her right tends a shepherd's crook beside livestock including a sheep and a deer. A beehive and a dog appear in the lower field, with a sheaf of grain and plough visible to the lower left. The maker's mark JARRETT LONDON appears in the exergue, and the legend ROYAL ULSTER AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY arcs around the upper border.

Reverse description The reverse features a central recessed cartouche flanked by two large wheat sheaves bound at the base, with additional foliate and floral sprays forming a wreath. The Hand of Ulster in relief appears at the top centre above the cartouche. The engraved inscription within the cartouche reads SPRING SHOW / 1906. / awarded to / Mr William Hayes. A rural ploughing scene is depicted in low relief along the lower field.
