Obverse description A semi-nude Indian female figure seated left on a stone plinth, wearing jewellery and a draped lower garment, holding a lotus flower in her left hand and displaying a framed starburst motif in her right. She is set before a backdrop of Mughal-style cusped arches and ornamental lattice screens, with lotus blossoms and pads depicted in the exergue. The engravers' signature J.S. & A.B. WYON SC. appears in the lower left field.
