Obverse description The obverse features a quartered heraldic shield bearing a sword, feather, and the initials N, G, C in relief, flanked by flowing ribbons, with the legend arched along a banner above. Below the shield are two circular medallions in relief, the left depicting a gymnast vaulting over a pommel horse and the right showing a gymnast performing a handstand on parallel bars. A decorative cartouche appears at the base of the field.
