| Obverse description | Central field features a raised heraldic shield bearing three seaxes (curved notched blades), the traditional arms of Middlesex, in gilt relief against a matte ground. The shield is surrounded by a wide blue enamel border carrying the legend in raised gilt lettering along the upper arc and lower arc respectively, with a small suspension loop at the top. |
