| Obverse description | The obverse depicts a modern Zim container ship in profile relief set against stylized sea waves, with a large circular sun and concentric wave lines in the upper field. An arc legend in Hebrew and English reading "ZIM CONTAINER SERVICE" runs along the upper rim, seven Stars of David (the Zim company emblem) appear to the upper right of the vessel, and the ship's hull bears the inscriptions "ZIM" and "ZIM HAIFA" in Hebrew and English.
