Obverse description Central relief figure of a young rugby player in full stride, carrying the ball tucked under his left arm, set within a recessed circular field. A surrounding legend reads 'HULL SCHOOL BOYS' at the top and 'RUGBY LEAGUE' at the bottom, separated by raised dots, within a radially lined border. The medal has an ornate scalloped outer rim with a suspension loop at the top.
