Obverse description A seated classical female figure in robes, laurel-crowned, is enthroned on a plinth with outstretched arms resting on the shoulders of two standing flanking figures: a Highland warrior in tartan kilt at left holding a sheaf of grain, and a rural labourer at right holding a plough. The designer's signatures LIZARS. INV. and INGRAM. SC. appear in the lower field at left and right respectively. The Latin legend appears in the exergue below.
