Obverse description A standing robed figure of George III receives a medal from a kneeling officer on a terrace, with Windsor Castle prominently depicted in the background. The date 1785 appears in the exergue, and the engraver's signature MOSSOP is visible at the base of the design. The legend ESTABLISHED UNDER ROYAL SANCTION curves along the upper periphery.
