Obverse description Central design features the armorial shield of the High School of Dundee set within a large trefoil or trilobe form, flanked by eagles in the lower field and a thistle motif at the apex. The shield bears the school motto LABOR OMNIA VINCIT above a depiction of a neoclassical building, with two addorsed sea-dragons flanking a vase in the lower half. The circumferential legend reads HIGH SCHOOL OF DUNDEE at the top and CUNNINGHAM MEDAL at the base, separated by small cross ornaments.
