| Obverse description | Central field displays the heraldic arms of the United Diocese of Killaloe, Kilfenora, Clonfert and Kilmacduagh, featuring an open Holy Bible and Book of Common Prayer surmounted by a bishop's mitre, with a shield below bearing a key and crossed devices, flanked by shamrock sprigs. A scroll in relief across the centre bears the motto PROVE ALL THINGS. The circular legend naming the united diocese runs around the full periphery. |

A small decorative flourish appears at the top and bottom of the field, and Birmingham hallmarks are visible at the base. |
