Obverse description Bare-necked, laureate bust of Divus Vespasianus facing right, rendered in the naturalistic Flavian portrait style with finely engraved hair and wreath ties falling behind the neck. The effigy displays the characteristic aged physiognomy of Vespasian, with strong facial features typical of posthumous commemorative portraiture. A beaded border frames the entire design. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from lower right, naming the deified emperor in his full posthumous titulature.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS
(Translation: Divus Augustus Vespasianus. The divine emperor (Augustus) Vespasian.)
