| Obverse description | Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered with characteristic realism in the Flavian portrait tradition, conveying the emperor's mature, sturdy physiognomy. The neck is bare and the facial features are rendered with individualistic detail typical of Roman imperial portraiture of the period.
