Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered with characteristic portrait realism: a broad, heavily lined face with short curly hair surmounted by a wreath of laurel leaves. The bust is bare-shouldered, consistent with the divine and imperial conventions of early Flavian coinage. A beaded border encircles the field. The encircling legend reads IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, distributed around the periphery in well-spaced Roman capitals.
