| Reverse description | Draped bust of Diva Domitilla Major facing right, rendered in the elegant Flavian court style. The hair is elaborately dressed with curls massed atop the crown of the head and a characteristic long plaited tress descending behind the neck onto the shoulder — a distinctive feature of Flavian female portraiture. The drapery is rendered in fine folds over the shoulder and chest. The plain field is enclosed by a continuous dotted bead rim, with the circular Latin legend distributed around the periphery. |
