| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Uranius Antoninus facing left, rendered in fine provincial die-cutting style with tightly curled hair and short beard. The emperor's paludamentum is visible at the shoulder, fastened with a fibula, and the cuirass displays careful articulation of the pteruges. The encircling legend is incised in bold Latin capitals along the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys a confident imperial image characteristic of the Emesene usurper's coinage struck at the Emesa mint during his brief reign. |
