| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered with characteristic strong, mature portrait features including a broad neck, short cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, and paludamentum visible at the truncation. The effigy is modeled in high relief with confident engraving typical of Trajanic aurei. The encircling legend is deeply struck and runs continuously around the periphery of the flan. |
