Reverse description The personification of Arabia stands facing, head turned slightly to the left, wearing an eastern headdress and long robes draped over the body. In her extended right hand she holds a branch, while her left hand grasps a long sceptre or spear resting against her shoulder. At her feet to the left stands a dromedary camel, the quintessential symbol of the Arabian province newly brought under Roman dominion. The composition is set within a plain field, enclosed by a beaded border, with the legend COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC distributed around the circumference in bold, well-spaced Latin capitals.
