Obverse description Laureate and bearded bust of Titus facing right, with short curly hair rendered in fine detail, draped at the shoulder. The portrait is executed in the high-relief style characteristic of Flavian dynastic coinage, conveying imperial authority and youthful vigour. The legend is arranged in a circular band around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the slightly irregular, hand-struck flan typical of hammered Roman gold coinage of the period.
