Obverse description Laureate bust of Titus facing right, depicted with short curly hair and bare neck, in the Roman imperial portrait tradition. The effigy is rendered in fine relief with naturalistic facial features characteristic of Flavian dynastic coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, running clockwise from the lower left. The die-work displays the confident, high-relief engraving typical of the Rome mint under Titus.
