Obverse description Diademed head of King Pharzoios facing right, rendered in Hellenistic style with finely engraved striated hair swept back beneath a broad diadem. The portrait exhibits strong facial features with a pronounced nose and chin, characteristic of Scythian royal coinage of the mid-first century AD. The field is plain, with no legend or border, allowing the royal effigy to dominate the flan. The die work reflects a provincial Hellenistic tradition adapted to Pontic-Scythian royal iconography.
