Obverse description Youthful bare-headed effigy of Nero as prince, depicted in draped bust facing left, rendered in the idealized portrait style characteristic of the Claudian period. The facial features are delicate and finely modelled, with softly curled hair arranged across the forehead in the dynastic manner. The drapery at the shoulder is indicated by a fibula, lending an air of aristocratic formality. A beaded border encircles the design, framing the portrait within the field. The surrounding legend identifies Nero by his full titulature as conqueror of the Germans and prince of youth.

Reverse description The reverse presents four priestly emblems of Roman state religion arranged symmetrically within the field: in the lower left, a simpulum (ladle used in libation ceremonies) facing left, and in the lower right, a lituus (augural staff) facing right; above these, a tripod facing left and a patera (libation dish) facing right. These sacerdotal symbols collectively reference Nero's co-optation into Rome's principal priestly colleges. The surrounding legend, rendered in crisp Latin capitals within a beaded border, records this honour by senatorial decree.
