Obverse description Laureate bust of Maximinus II (Daia) facing right, depicted with a short beard and fine facial features rendered in the high-relief Tetrarchic style. The emperor wears a laurel wreath with prominent leaves tied at the back, and his cuirassed shoulders are partially visible at the base of the bust. The encircling Latin legend reads MAXIMINVS P F AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic bold, confident modeling associated with the Antioch mint's goldsmith workshops of the early fourth century. A beaded border frames the design.
