Obverse description Laureate head of Maximianus Herculius facing right, rendered with considerable naturalistic detail including a short beard and strong facial features characteristic of the Tetrarchic portrait style. The emperor's laurel wreath is rendered in high relief with individual leaves clearly articulated. The legend encircles the portrait in the field, reading from left to right around the bust. The flan edge bears fine serrations typical of Tetrarchic aurei from the Ticinum mint.

Reverse description Reverse field occupied entirely by a five-line monumental inscription enclosed within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon; a crosslet or decorative motif appears above the first line of text. The wreath itself is composed of densely arranged leaves and is bordered by a beaded outer ring. The mint signature SMT (Sacra Moneta Ticini) appears on the final line, identifying the Ticinum mint. This votive-style reverse design, presenting the emperor's titulature in epigraphic form, is characteristic of commemorative aurei issued during the Tetrarchic period.
