Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus (Maximian Herculius) facing right, with short beard, rendered in high relief with fine engraving characteristic of the Tetrarchic period. The emperor wears a paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the right shoulder, visible beneath the cuirass. The portrait conveys a robust, martial character consistent with Maximian's Herculian imagery. A beaded border frames the design, and the peripheral legend reads MAXIMIANVS AVGVSTVS, distributed around the obverse field.
