| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus (Maximian Herculius) facing right, with a short beard rendered in finely detailed strands, presented in the high-relief Tetrarchic style characteristic of Siscia mint production. The emperor's features are strongly modelled, conveying imperial authority, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated across the brow. The bust is truncated at the shoulder. The circular Latin legend MAXIMIANVS AVGVSTVS runs along the outer border, framed by a fine beaded inner border on the field. |
