Reverse description A legionary aquila (eagle standard) stands upright at centre, flanked on either side by a military signum (legionary standard), the three standards rendered in fine hammered relief. The legend LEG II is inscribed in the field below the aquila, identifying this issue as struck for the Second Legion. A border of dots encircles the composition, consistent with the broader series of Mark Antony's legionary aurei and denarii.
