| Obverse description | Bare head of Marcus Antonius facing right, rendered in bold high relief with characteristic thick neck and strong facial features typical of his portraiture. A small star appears in the lower field below the truncation. The encircling legend M · ANTON · IMP · III · VIR · R · P · C runs clockwise around the effigy, beginning at the lower left. The entire design is contained within a well-defined border of large raised dots. The die engraving reflects the vigorous, naturalistic portrait style of the late Republican period. |

| Obverse lettering | M · ANTON · IMP · III · VIR · R · P · C (Translation: The emperor Marcus Antonius, triumvir for the restoration of the Republic) |
| Reverse description | Bare head of Octavian (the future Augustus) facing right, depicted bearded — an attribute of mourning worn following the assassination of Julius Caesar — with fine, youthful features and short, neatly rendered hair. The encircling legend CAESAR · IMP · III · VIR · R · P · C runs clockwise around the portrait. A border of large raised dots frames the design. The portrait style is comparatively more delicate than that of Antonius on the obverse, consistent with Octavian's known iconographic convention on coinage of this period. A small pellet or mark is visible in the lower field below the truncation. |
