Reverse description Winged Victory, draped, stands facing right, holding before her an inscribed votive shield resting upon a cippus (a short rectangular pedestal). The shield bears the vow inscription VOTIS V MVLTIS X, recording the emperor's quinquennial vows and prayers for a further five years of prosperous reign. In the left field, a control mark consisting of an asterisk above two pellets (∗ on ••) is present. The mintmark appears in the exergue, identifying the Nicomedia mint.
