Between the two figures, additional ears of grain are depicted in the field, symbolising the province's agricultural bounty. The composition belongs to the celebrated 'Restitutor' series issued to commemorate Hadrian's provincial tours. The reverse legend arcs around the upper field within a beaded border. |
