She holds a patera in her extended right hand and rests her left arm upon a small standing figure of Spes (Hope), who is depicted holding her skirt. A cornucopia is placed beneath the throne, reinforcing the iconographic theme of abundance and harmony. The reverse legend P M TR P COS II CONCORD encircles the composition, denoting Hadrian's pontifical and tribunician offices as well as his second consulship. |
