| Reverse description | Jupiter, the supreme deity of the Roman pantheon, seated left on a low throne, his semi-draped figure rendered with authority and divine gravitas. In his extended right hand he holds a small figure of Victory, and in his left hand a long sceptre resting against his shoulder. The throne is depicted in a simple architectural form with cross-bar supports visible beneath. The reverse legend IOVI VICTORI is distributed around the field, flanking the enthroned deity, within a beaded border. |
