| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with short curly hair and a closely cropped beard characteristic of his portraiture, the paludamentum (military cloak) draped over the left shoulder and the pteryges of the cuirass visible at the truncation. The finely modelled effigy occupies the full field, rendered in high relief with careful attention to facial detail. The circular legend runs clockwise around the periphery, bordered by a beaded inner rim. |
