| Obverse description | Laureate head of Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with the characteristic aged and jowled physiognomy of the emperor. The portrait displays a naturalistic style typical of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian-era gold coinage, with finely engraved laurel wreath binding the hair.
