She extends her right hand forward holding a patera, emblematic of libation and divine offering, while her left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. At her feet to the left crouches a peacock, the sacred bird of Juno, serving as her divine attribute and reinforcing her identification as queen of the gods. The reverse legend encircles the scene, dedicating the type to Juno Regina. |
