Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Drusus the Elder (Nero Claudius Drusus) facing left, rendered in the idealized classical Roman portrait style. The subject displays tightly curled hair across the brow and flowing locks behind the ear, consistent with posthumous commemorative portraiture issued under Claudius. The bust is set within a beaded border. The encircling legend reads NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMANICVS IMP, distributed around the full periphery of the obverse field.
