| Obverse description | Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered with fine detail to the hair and facial features in the classical Flavian portrait style. The effigy is bare-necked and depicted in high relief against a smooth field. The encircling Latin legend reads CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS, identifying him as Caesar and son of Augustus (Vespasian), and is bounded by an outer beaded border. The portrait displays the youthful physiognomy characteristic of Domitian's pre-imperial coinage struck under his father Vespasian. |

| Reverse description | The She-Wolf of Rome standing left in three-quarter profile, suckling the twin infants Romulus and Remus who recline beneath her, rendered with considerable sculptural depth. The legend COS V appears prominently in the upper field within the beaded border, denoting Domitian's fifth consulship. In the exergue below a ground line, a boat or skiff is depicted in low relief, referencing the legendary origins of Rome and the Tiber river. The entire composition is contained within a beaded outer border, with the reverse design evoking Rome's mythological foundation narrative. |
