Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, with short hair and a youthful yet authoritative portrait typical of Flavian dynastic coinage. The effigy is rendered with fine detail in the high-relief hammered style characteristic of early imperial aurei. The circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, running from left to right around the periphery of the flan. A beaded border frames the entire design.
