Reverse description A peacock, sacred bird of Juno, stands in profile facing right, rendered with careful attention to plumage detail including the closed tail feathers trailing behind and the distinctive crest atop the head. The bird stands on a plain ground line, its neck extended and head slightly raised in a naturalistic pose. The composition is bold and centrally placed within the coin field, reflecting the high-quality engraving characteristic of Domitianic aurei from the Rome mint. The encircling legend CONCORDIA AVGVSTI frames the motif, associating Domitia with imperial Concordia. A beaded border surrounds the design.
