Reverse description Within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base with a pellet-decorated knot, the votive inscription VOTIS • XXX appears in two lines across the central field, with a central separating pellet between the lines, commemorating the completion of Constantine I's tricennalia — the thirtieth anniversary of his reign. The XXX numerals are rendered as three decorative crosslet-form characters, lending the design an ornamental quality. The mint mark TSЄ, identifying the Thessalonica mint, is placed prominently in the exergue below the wreath. The wreath is tied at its apex with a small globule finial, and the entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border, presenting a composition of restrained ceremonial elegance appropriate to an imperial votive medallion.
