She extends her right arm forward holding a laurel wreath, while her drapery streams to the left in dynamic folds. Above the figure, the abbreviated legend S·P·Q·R is inscribed in the upper field within an architectural element suggestive of a shield or tablet. The composition conveys Roman dominion over the world and the triumph of Augustus, combining the iconography of universal rule with the personification of Victory.
