| Obverse description | Bare-necked laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in finely modelled high relief with characteristic Augustan classicising style. The laurel wreath is depicted with naturalistic detail, its ties falling behind the neck. The portrait conveys idealized youthfulness consistent with official Augustan imagery. The encircling legend is divided on either side of the effigy, with AVGVSTVS to the left and DIVI F to the right, set within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | A bull rendered in powerful, dynamic high relief charges and butts to the right with head lowered, forelegs bent and muscles tensed in vigorous motion, its tail curling upward over its back. The animal stands on a plain ground line, occupying the central field with commanding presence. The exergual legend IMP XII appears below the ground line in neat, evenly spaced capitals. The right portion of the field is enclosed by a partial beaded border, characteristic of Lugdunum mint production of this period. |
