Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Sabinia Tranquillina facing right, her hair elaborately dressed and bound with a diadem, depicted in the characteristic Severan court style. The effigy is rendered in low relief, showing the bust truncation with layered drapery at the shoulder. A Latin legend encircles the portrait within a beaded border, identifying the empress by her full imperial titulature.
