Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Smyrna. The facial features, though worn, retain the characteristic beard and strongly modelled profile associated with Hadrianic portraiture. The Greek imperial titulature is disposed in two parts across the field, flanking the bust. The legend reads ΑΥ ΚΑΙ Α-ΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Hadrianus.
