Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from the rear, with paludamentum visible at the truncation. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic beard and laureate wreath rendered in bold relief. The Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan. The portrait is executed in the provincial style typical of Macedonian colonial coinage of the Hadrianic period.

Reverse description Standing figure of Athena or Roma facing left, holding a patera in the extended right hand and a spear in the left hand. At the figure's feet, an owl is depicted to the left and a serpent to the right, both being attributes associated with Athena. The reverse legend, arranged in two lines divided by a dash, identifies the issuing colonial authority. The composition is typical of the iconographic conventions employed by the Roman colony of Dium in Macedonia.
