| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Domitian facing right, with a star visible in the field behind the head. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style, with a bold, slightly idealised profile characteristic of Flavian-era civic coinage from Cilicia. The Greek imperial legend curves around the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan shows the typical irregular edges of a hammered provincial bronze issue. |

| Reverse description | Elpis, the personification of Hope, advancing left, clad in a long chiton, holding an open flower (lotus bud) in her raised right hand and lifting her garment with her left. The date formula ΕΤΟ-ΥϹ / ΙΒ-Ρ (Year 112 of the Caesarean era) is distributed in the left and right fields. The civic legend ΚΑΙΣΑΡΕΩΝ ΠΡ ΑΝΑΖΡΑΒΩ curves around the design, attributing the issue to the city of Anazarbus. The depiction of Elpis follows the standard Hellenistic iconographic type closely related to that of the Roman Spes. |
